How to Read The Hillshore Balance Unit Chart
The unit numbers. Every unit number takes the form #storey-stack. In #03-16, the 03 is the storey and the 16 is the stack, so it is the home on the third storey of stack 16. Read across for the storey and down for the stack.
The columns, and why most carry two numbers. Block 290 holds six stack columns and Block 292 seven, thirteen in all. Most columns are labelled with a pair, such as 03/08 or 13/18, and that pair is one column rather than two. The lower number is the stack on the typical storeys and the higher number is the penthouse sitting above it, so #03-03 and #05-08 are in the same column, one above the other. Block 290 runs columns 01, 02/07, 03/08, 04/09, 05/10 and 06. Block 292 runs 11, 12, 13/18, 14/19, 15/20, 16/21 and 17.
Columns that stop short, and columns that never start at the bottom. Read down the chart and several columns are missing their lower cells. This is the terracing of the two blocks showing up in the grid, and it is not a printing fault. In Block 290 only the two end columns, 01 and 06, reach the first storey; the four between them begin at the second. Block 292 steps harder: column 12 begins at the second storey, columns 13/18, 15/20 and 16/21 begin at the third, and column 14/19 does not begin until the fourth. The result is that the first storey carries only four homes across the whole development, #01-01 and #01-06 in Block 290 and #01-11 and #01-17 in Block 292.
Block 292’s third storey is shared. That level carries the Hillshore Clubhouse, the play pool, the BBQ pavilion and the play cove alongside its homes, which is worth knowing when a column looks thinner there than you expected.
The numbered cell that is not a home. Column 14/19 carries a cell at the third storey that will never be for sale: it is the management office. That is why the column holds three homes rather than the four or five its neighbours hold, and it is the one place on the chart where a numbered position is not a unit.
Columns that change layout partway up. Columns 13/18 and 14/19 each carry two different layouts on different storeys rather than the same one repeated all the way up. A home three floors below the one you are looking at in those two columns is not necessarily the same plan, so check the layout code rather than assuming the column is uniform.
The fifth storey, which carries more homes than any floor below it. The penthouses take their own stack numbers alongside the columns running up from below, which is why the higher number in each paired label appears only on that row. Seven of those fifth storey homes are two storey, running up into the attic above, so one home occupies two rows of the chart rather than one.
Every layout is drawn band by band on the Hillshore floor plan page. The buyer’s guide names the four outlook aspects the development is described by and states plainly that no source assigns an aspect to a particular stack, so a stack level view claim is a question for the team rather than something to read off this chart.
